In her lone opportunity to vote on a budget, Mrs. Summerlin voted against the majority to raise taxes while on Kerrville City Council in 2017.

Mrs. Summerlin pledges to continue the status quo of supporting the ‘old boy network’ in Kerrville.

Mrs. Summerlin has stated on numerous occasions that she believes issuing of debt is best left to the City Council, without asking for voter approval.

Political activist Summerlin has indicated through financial support for candidates and party, that she supports a city’s right to create a ‘sanctuary city’ for illegal immigrants.
